With Brad Richards officially off the market , where does Burke turn now . Does he stay pat with Connoly ,bolster his offence via trade, or does he do the unthinkable and throw down the dreaded OFFER SHEET ????
There are some attractive RFA's available including the likes of Parise or Tampa Bays young sniper, and Ontario native Stamkos?
A 2 or 3 year / 10 million offer sheet would surely handcuff the Lightning who seem to be signing everyone but their star center . This is purely speculation but a possible reality. Even after signing Connoly the Leafs have 13 million in Cap, and a few contracts they could bury in the minors or move to a team trying to get to the cap floor .
Just saying ..... Would Burke dare to do this after going public about Kevin Lowes Dustin Penner offer sheet several years ago .
